Roof is finished - insulation installed

The roof is completed and the majority of the insulation has been installed.  The electrical and plumbing inspections are completed.  No work on the house tomorrow, but it is supposed to be sided by Saturday.

Windows & Doors

Windows and Doors are installed as well as the plumbing and the furnace.  The roof should be completed tomorrow and the garage floor will be poured.

Inside framing and electrical underway!

The electrician started today, the roofer continued laying shingles, and the framers framed out most of the inside of the house.  The electrician will finish up tomorrow so the inspection can take place on Monday.  I am not sure if any of the other crew is working, but if there is progress I will post.  The picture above is standing in the kitchen looking toward the master bedroom.

Garage Roof & Inside Framing

The crew was not able to work yesterday because of the weather.  Today the shingled the garage roof and completed some inside framing.  The pictures of the inside may be hard to figure out.  The crew is working tomorrow so I will post more pictures then.  To see all the pics, click on the slideshow.

Now it is looking like a house!

Awesome progress today!  The trusses are up and part of the roof is on.  Quite a bit of water in the house due to the rain today.  I hope they can continue work tomorrow with the weather.

Garage roof & basement stairway

Today's progress included the garage trusses and half the roof.  The basement stairway was put in and the staging set for the main roof.  Hopefully the crane will be there tomorrow to install the main trusses.  If you want to view all of the pictures click on the slideshow - they are sorted by date so you can skip to the end for the latest pics.

A couple more walls......

Looking good!  Pretty exciting - the front and back walls and the turn gables were built today.  We can't wait to see what gets done tomorrow!

 

Framing is moving along!

Basement Floor is Poured

Basement Enclosed

Great progress today.  The basement is enclosed, the columns are in, and the floor for the first level is completed.  Tomorrow they will be working on framing the main level and pouring the basement floor.

Filling in and running electrical.

Clean fill was brought in today, the electrical was run to the house and a lot of grading went on.  Tomorrow the framing begins.  It still looks small to me and I am sure when the walls go up I will get some perspective.  It isn't small - just under 2,000 square feet of  living space on the first floor.  Oh well - I can't wait for tomorrow.  Check out the new pics by clicking on the slideshow.  Have a nice night!

We have a foundation!

Wow - a lot has happened in a week!  We have a foundation and the walkout basement will start being framed tomorrow.  The foundation will be inspected tomorrow and the rest of the framing will start on Tuesday (7/15).  Check out the latest pictures by clicking on the slideshow so you can see them full screen.   Stay tuned!  This week should be eventful!  It may even start looking like a house and be a little more interesting than a hole in the ground!

We now have a hole in the ground!

They worked on the 4th of July and we now have a hole in the ground for the foundation.  Who would think that a hole could be that exciting?  We also changed lots - from #8 to #9 as it was a better lot for the walkout basement.  Looks like things will be moving along now!
